My strongest skills involve project management, strategic and digital communications, corporate compliance training, instructional design, team leadership, content and technical writing, editing and proofreading, content curation and idea distillation, digital literacy, website development, event management, employee engagement, and fanatical attention to detail.

My joy is designing stimulating, media-rich materials and meticulously crafting any digital content that involves writing, editing, researching, planning, and synthesizing information in a way that’s easy for people to understand. The deliberate arrangement of words and ideas inspires me. Perfection (or the quest) delights me. Distilling ideas down to clear and relevant language is fun for me, and I am good at it.

Whether it’s a PowerPoint slide, web page, spreadsheet, training course, social media post, marketing flyer, SharePoint site, online article, employee engagement newsletter, or other – I’m just as excited about creating a positive viewing experience for my reader as I am about crafting a compelling message for a targeted audience. Even an ordinary email or a dry corporate document can be aesthetically appealing if done right. I believe if people enjoy the experience of being informed, communication is so much more effective. And I excel at making this happen.

EXPERIENCE

1987 to Present
Manager of Communications, Training, and Operations — Pitney Bowes (Stamford, Connecticut)

Formulate and conduct communications and training content for the enterprise across various digital media channels and platforms. Extensive experience over many years in planning, designing, executing, and managing multiple organizational events and initiatives such as Town Halls, Annual Kickoffs, large-scale webinars, and other special projects involving compliance, technology, and employee engagement across many disciplines. Well-versed and successful at cross-functional collaboration at all levels with all stakeholders. Have led or managed numerous critical projects simultaneously.

Create and edit copy for intranet web content. Author technology how-to training materials. Design and conduct employee and executive surveys. Assess and supervise the execution, completion, and tracking of various annual compliance training. Support daily business unit employees with technology consultation.

Manage our company’s Business Continuity global compliance process, including coordinating annual program launches, providing governance, oversight, and counsel to an enterprise-wide team of area leaders, creating training materials, and administering a SharePoint team site.
